Specializing in energy conscious
design on more than 150 residential and commercial projects. General Contractor for 33 of these projects. At
one point, managed a firm with 12 employees. Designed and developed
six solar and alternative energy products for a local manufacturer. Recipient
of the 1985 "Better Homes and Gardens Magazine" Grand Prize Design
Award, 1800-2400 SF Residence. Published in the American Institute
of Architects booklet "Ten Buildings That Save Energy By Design", "The
Permaculture International Journal" and numerous other print media. See: Projects

Kriya Yoga - Partner and General Manager 1993-2006
Presentation of more than 100 workshops and residential retreats
throughout Australia, New Zealand, USA, and New Caledonia. Small business
management responsibilities included publucity, public relations, advertising,
graphic design, product development, purchasing, website design and development,
travel coordination, accounting, tax filing and whatever needed to be done. Business
sold June 2006.
Musician 1963-1994
Played and sang solo, and with a trio named "Field of Dreams" in
numerous venues; including Nubs Knob Michigan Ski Resort, The Taos Inn, Dori's
Cafe, and Café Tazza. Instruments include guitar, harmonica,
percussion, congas, djembe, and vocals. Taught beginning singing for beginners
(with lots of fears).

Fe Ski Basin - Ski Instructor 1986-87
Full time ski instructor. Also joined ski school at Taos
Ski Valley in 1988, but ended up going to Mexico for the season instead!.
Lundeen
and Associates Inc., Architects - Project Architect 1982-83
Managed design and clients for residential and commercial projects
including proposals and presentations for the Bureau of Land Management,
Las Cruces Public Schools, and the City of Las Cruces.
Solarcrete
Corporation - Head of Architectural/Engineering Department 1975-80
Organized Architectural and Engineering Department with seven
employees. Developed one of the first computerized (it was the first
programmable calculator!) cost estimating and energy analysis software. Nationwide
consulting, product development and supervision of design and construction
documents.
City
of Fort Wayne, Indiana - Assistant City Planner 1974-75
Project Director for the Rivergreenway Plan for development
and utilization of a 52 mile recreational greenbelt. Designed The Farmer's
Market, Downtown Waterfront, Bikeways and signage, Central Business District
Pedestrian Plan, and graphics and photography for 10 publications.
Architectural
Concepts, Inc., - Design Associate 1973-74
Design, working drawings, and public relations for residential
and commercial clients in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Architectural apprenticeship
completed.
The
Bakery Boutique and Importers - Owner and General Manager 1971-77
Created, renovated, and managed retail store. Responsible
for supervision of six employees, fiscal planning, purchasing, sales, advertising,
display, design and construction of fixtures and interior. Small business
management responsibilities included publucity, public relations, advertising,
graphic design, product development, purchasing, travel coordination, accounting,
tax filing and whatever needed to be done. Developed importing business
with national wholesale sales distribution. Handled purchasing in Mexico,
Customs brokerage, sales and shipping. Created 32 page illustrated
catalog including all graphic design and photography. Procured sales
representation in the Chicago Gift Show and Merchandise Marts in Chicago,
Denver, and Dallas.

in East (Spanish) Harlem, New York City, 1 year in Self-Help Housing for

Brewery bottling plant; Ball Drug Co. - worked for my father's health and
beauty aids distributorship as a stock boy in the warehouse and deliveries. My
first job was at 15 years old (needed to get a work permit) as a clerk during
the Christmas

the Boy Scout
department at Wolf & Desauer Department Store in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
